auditioned choirs
serenata
Any student may audition for one of our Advanced Choirs. Auditions typically consist of singing 30 seconds of any song unaccompanied, tonal memory testing and sight reading. Students without music reading experience are welcome to audition, but may have more success training in an open choir for a year prior to auditioning.
Serenata is our Advanced Treble Choir. Any singer with a treble (high) range is welcome to audition. Serenata has been a featured guest of the Inland Master Chorale and The Ontario Showband.
Chamber Singers
encore
Encore is currently an Intermediate Mixed Choir. Any singer of any voice type is welcome to audition. Encore has earned Superior ratings in both performance and sight reading at SCVA Festivals and performs in a variety of concerts and events throughout the year.
Chamber Singers is our Advanced Mixed Choir. Any singer with any voice type is welcome to audition. Chamber Singers has been a featured guest at the Lewis Family Playhouse's Broadway at the Gardens and Disneyland's Candlelight Processional.
bear voices
Bear Voices is our Contemporary A Cappella and Vocal Jazz Ensemble. They rehearse outside of school hours and perform at a variety of events and concerts throughout the year. In 2018 they performed in an A Cappella workshop concert with Pentatonix's Avi Kaplan.
open choirs
Any student may join one of our Open Choirs without an audition. Students in our open choirs learn to read music and utilize healthy vocal technique, perform on and off campus and have a variety of opportunities to perform as choristers and soloists.
Meistersingers
Meistersingers is our Baritone Choir. All singers grades 9-12 with changed (low) voices are welcome to join without an audition. All men are also welcome.
bel canto
Bel Canto is our open Treble Choir. All singers grades 9-12 with unchanged (high) voices are welcome to join without an audition.
